According to UNESCO, education is a lifelong process of imparting knowledge, skills, and values. For students, their mother tongue is essential to this process. However, tribal students face a significant challenge as they’re taught in a non-native language (English/Hindi/Marathi). This leads to a communication gap between students and teachers, resulting in disengagement and poor academic performance. To address this, we’ve researched and documented over 30 tribal languages and cultures over the past decade. We’ve also published and distributed books in some of these languages, supporting students in their education.
Here’s a list of the tribal communities we’ve worked with:
To establish a Tribal Language and Culture Museum & Research Centre to preserve, promote, and showcase the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of tribal communities.
Develop learning materials in tribal languages to enhance accessible and relevant education.
Safeguard and celebrate the traditional art, music, and cultural practices of tribal communities.
Design and implement assessment tools aligned with tribal cultural and linguistic contexts.
Immediate action to provide food, shelter, and medical care.
Training and resources to help communities thrive sustainably.
Ensuring equal access to education and raising awareness on critical issues.
Offering safe and warm temporary shelters to refugees fleeing conflict.
With every step, we’re moving closer to a world where no one is left behind. From feeding the hungry to providing shelter and education.
